Planning services
Before you order a catio, make sure the whole setup works.
A good enclosure can still leave you with the wrong house connection, missing site work, unclear installer scope, or a weather problem. Kindred focuses on those decisions before they become change orders.
Catio Fit & Build Review — $249
Best when you are choosing between systems, deciding whether a particular idea fits, or trying to resolve one primary build question.
- Review of the photos and measurements you provide
- 45-minute consultation
- Written recommendation with reasons
- Specific next actions in order
- One clarification email
The review is intentionally narrow. It does not include installation drawings, stamped engineering, permit approval, field verification of measurements, or unlimited redesign.
Catio Planning Package — $649
Best when one straightforward project needs enough definition to discuss intelligently with a contractor or execute as a prepared DIY build.
- Annotated concept layout for one site and one primary house connection
- Measurements and assumptions clearly identified
- Material or kit shopping specification
- Connection, weather, maintenance, and cleaning-access notes
- Installation sequence and responsibility notes
- One revision based on your feedback
If you already purchased a $249 review for the same approved project and then upgrade, the $249 is credited toward the $649 total after the expanded scope is confirmed.
What you provide
- Town/ZIP and general site context
- Clear photos of the entire proposed area
- Inside and outside photos of the intended house access
- Approximate width, depth, height, sill height, and other known dimensions
- Selected kit links or sketches if you already have them
- Budget range and intended installer/DIY path
Where Kindred stops
Planning guidance does not replace structural engineering, architecture, manufacturer instructions, permit/code approval, or the judgment of a licensed professional where one is required. Unusual structural conditions, high decks, complex roof integration, major electrical work, or other specialty conditions may need a separate professional.
